Just finished the most incredible 3 days in this wonderful city. I love Vienna, I love Simon Rattle, I love Anne-Sofie Von Otter & I love hearing music played like that orchestra can. What a privilege. And i visited Mozart’s cemetery today – finally – having wanted to do it since I was a child. He’s in good company next to Beethoven & Schubert & Wolf & J Strauss! Amazing.

Currently rehearsing & listening to the Urlicht. How lucky am I? Doesn’t get any better than this.

Thank you so much to all of you who have sent me such lovely messages about these concerts. What a fantastic week I have had with everyone…. Joana Carneiro, Residentie Orkest and of course, Rufus who is the best person ever!!! Next stop Vienna & The Rattle! Rock & Roll.

1 – I love Rufus Wainwright – he is the best person ever & I am laughing so much.
2 – it is fantastic to work with a brilliant musician from a totally different ‘place’ musically to me.
3 – if you’re anywhere near The Hague tonight or tomorrow, come & see the show….it’s gonna be great!!

Thank you so much for all your kind messages about Saturday – my first Verdi Req! What a joy to sing & in such a lovely place too. Bravo to choir & orchestra & the chefs at pizza express for suffering our very large table late in the evening!! 🙂
